Alana A. Wellington was born in Mandeville, Jamaica. She enjoys both the creative and intellectual aspects of writing. As a young girl of about seven years, she started crafting stories, and hasn't stopped. Growing up in the U.S. she had many teachers who encouraged her to continue to push her ability, until she ventured into the realm of poetry. Since her senior year of high school, she's been writing both poems and stories. She graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelors Degree in Art. Her aspirations include becoming a medical doctor. She's always been an arts and science person, and finds it hard to separate these two dimensions of herself. Her work tends to deal with the human condition, religious/Bible themes, and social issues. Currently, she's back home in Jamaica, writing up a whirlwind and settling into having her own sweet little family.
