Jennifer Larmar, her nom de plume, was born in Brisbane, Australia. Only weeks after turning seventeen, she moved to Wellington, New Zealand for a working holiday. When her father died eighteen months later, she returned to Australia and then moved to Canberra for six years where her daughter was born, before settling back into her home state of Queensland. She currently resides with her husband in Brisbane. For many years, Jennifer and her favourite little girl lived beside one of the beautiful beaches fringing the Sunshine Coast. Now her daughter and adorable little grandson live in Melbourne and she visits them as often as possible. Little 'Rhino' is the delight of her life and some of her best days are those spent with him and his mother. Raised in a musical family, she studied piano and was part of several school and church choirs. Over the years, she has written the lyrics to several pieces, including the school anthem for a state government primary school, which the students still sing every Friday during assembly. In the 80s, she was part of a musical duo, penning lyrics with a folk/gospel singer/guitarist/composer and performing in coffee shops together on weekends. This love of music saw her treading the boards in several amateur musical theatre productions on the east coast of her beloved country. Following a multifaceted career path, writing has become her passion. Apart from visiting her loved ones in Melbourne, sitting in a darkened theatre, or travelling across this vast and intriguing planet discovering new and exciting places, there is nothing she loves more than to sit in her study and bring beloved characters to life while taking them on journeys around the world. As Jennifer says, To me, writing is like going on holidays every day without the expense. I can take my characters anywhere - to do anything ... and all from the comfort of my study... Jennifer is a regular writer/contributor for the website and Facebook Page 'Starts At Sixty'. Fractured Symphony is her second published work - Volume 2 in the two-part series entitled 'Til The End Of Time, which commenced with Silken Images, both available through Amazon, CreateSpace and selected bookstores.
