Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is set in Vice City in the year 1984 when the city is still rising from the swamps and experiencing power struggles in the drug market. The Sony PSP video game follows Vic Vance, who as a soldier, protected his country and his family but is left on the streets, where he faces the choice of being crushed or building an empire. This action-adventure game consists largely of driving and third-person shooting in a large, non-linear environment that allows for exploration and offers a choice of how to play. When the players complete the storyline missions in the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, they pass on to the next level, but they can also opt for just walking around in the city. The Sony PSP video game also features a variety of side missions, such as Beach Patrol, in which Vic acts as a lifeguard and takes out annoying bikers. The main theme of this action-adventure game is building an empire and this is done by collecting money and setting up various businesses on overtaken enemy territories. The Australian Classification Board rates Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories MA 15+ for Mature and not suitable for people under 15, because of its violent nature.
