Emily moves from Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia a couple of months before she begins the fifth grade at Bradshaw Elementary School. As she adjusts to attending a new school and preparing for middle school, she has some challenging experiences. Some of these experiences include going to visit her Grandma in the hospital when her Grandma becomes very sick, trying out for the school chorus, and rescuing a bird that has broken his wing. The experiences that Emily encounters help her to learn about the nine different Fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Emily gains more insight and confidence to face future challenges as she applies the Fruits of the Spirit to her life.
