Protean comic actor Peter Sellers was first introduced to audiences on the popular BBC radio series "The Goon Show" - a precursor to both "Beyond the Fringe" and "Monty Python's Flying Circus" - and made his screen debut in 1951. He got his first break playing a dogmatic union man in "I'm All Right, Jack", which led to roles in many films that demonstrated his extreme comic ability and his remarkable gift for character transformation. In 1963, Sellers starred in the first instalment of the hugely popular "Pink Panther" series as the loveable Inspector Clouseau, a character that made him a celebrated international star often credited as the greatest comedian of all time.
