An ideal companion for your journey through Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala or Mexico, this book provides a thoughtful and insightful take on the unusual, the interesting and the downright bizarre aspects of these fascinating and very different countries. Often funny, sometimes moving, always opinionated, this is an intelligent and sensitive look at the people, their lives, their cultures and societies. Mark Green is like Michael Palin with attitude - a travel-writer for the 21st Century traveller.
Mark Green is a freelance writer and musician. He has lived in the UK and Holland and has worked for three years in Paris and Luxembourg. He speaks French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian with varying degrees of fluency depending on how recently he has been in each country. He has travelled widely, visiting 62 countries at the last count. He loves good food and wine and likes to try the local cuisine wherever he goes but does draw the line at deep-fried grasshoppers.
