Rose Carlin holds a Ph.D. in literature and creative writing and became a tenured, University professor. She received a letter of commendation for scoring in the top 1% nationally in the Graduate Record Exam in English. Dr. Carlin lives in the Washington, D.C. community. Her hobbies include gardening and avid dvd watching. Her primary volunteer work is career and academic advising among the poor and working class who lack family and friends who have college experience. Her two primary fascinations are with language and American life. She considers travel to be fun, too!
