The first thing I've noticed when I take it out from box, was the grinding on edge were uneven, only have it in my hand less than 30 minitues, the coating on handel strat to peeling off. Kabar was good quality, but now they take shortcut like Remington for more porfit, and the "American Quality" just went to the bin. So sad!

The BK14 is literally an amalgamation of the best features of the Esse Izula and KaBar BK11 Becker Necker knives having a BK11 blade and the more comfortable Esse handle; Esse + Kabar = Eskabar. I bought this BK14 to replace my old BK11. The black finish on the BK14 is coarser than the BK11, the blade looks to be a subtly different thickness and the BK14 sheath has been improved with a closure clip. The new sheath doesn't rattle and is far more secure. It is light enough for neck carry and its light weight and sensible size makes it a great EDC, backpacking and bush walking knife. It also makes a great backup knife for the more serious outdoor pursuits. You can wrap the skeletonised handle with paracord or buy scales to fit. The spine needs a portion ground to a 90 degree edge to make it better to strike a ferro rod. I have had no problems sharpening it in the field. The price is reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended.Read full review

Great little blade, light weight but strong, great edge retention. Easy to make handles for it

Нож очень крепкий, острый, хотелось бы чтобы он не был покрыт черной краской, очень хорошо к нему подходят накладки на ручки.
