Damian Light grew up in the country on weekends and lived in the heart of Brooklyn, NY during the week. Having had lived with his grandmother, his mother a drunk model who left him while she ran out on the run, He was a latchkey kid without parents, and was raised by people in his parish. He took up story writing at a young age in high school, and went into poetry before later writing lyrics and poetry slam for demos and then later for record companies along with production projects and music. He worked for Tower Records as a recording demo artist until they declared bankruptcy, at which time he went independent and was considered by Warner Records for a vocalist and separate production deal. He worked independently as an actor in Los Angeles for the underground studio circuit in Hollywood.
