Back in the day, when she was still just a kid, Little met and fell in love with a man who would later commit one of Sacramento, California's most horrific murderers, the Toolbox Murderer. This is their story; it is one of forbidden love and undeniable passion. It is a story that changed them and their family and their children's lives forever. In the end, it is a story of redemption and healing that extends forwards and backwards in time, never ending
A mother and grandmother, Little Laura has spent the last couple of decades in a small gold rush and logging community in the foothills of the sierra. There she and her children learned how to live without TV and video games. They replaced white sugar with honey and pasteurized cow milk for fresh from the goat milk. Little is a country girl who loves books, great stories, ghostie stories, growing her own food, animals of all shapes and sizes, sustainable living and family. The issues that Laura is passionate about include subjects like; California as a Prison State, Freedom of Religion, and California proposition 215 patient rights and Herbal Therapy / Human Rights to Healthy Medicine, Cosmetics and Food. She loves music, all kinds but especially Alanis Morrissette, Queen, Puscifer Her all-time favorite movie is Fiddler on the Roof. Favorite Books; The Prophet, The Madman, Cleopatra's Memoirs, Horse Clan series, Arthur's Goon, anything by Anne Rice or Steven King, all Dragon Riders of Pern books, on and on. So many thousands of books I have read and loved. Even with several other stories on the board, Laura decided, after many years of vague and frightening rumors as her only information, to face her fears head on and find her son's dad in the California prison system. It wasn't hard to do. What evolved has been a continuation of the love story, decades in the future, family by their connection through their son. Though she has several stories on her desk, Laura knew that this story must be her first.
