Logitech have assigned functions such as Play, Pause etc as the PRIMARY functions of the F1-F12 keys whist the normal F1-F12 actions are the SECONDARY functions. This means all PRIMARY functions are illuminated however because all SECONDARY functions are written in small red writing they are NOT illuminated. The result is that you cannot see the F1-F12 keys in a dark room! This is a major oversight for a keyboard who's main feature is to provide key illumination yet fails to do this for regular F keys. Also I think the keyboard should be slightly smaller as I (and others) could then store it in the compartments found under sofa armrests rather than have to leave on the coffee table. However I still like and recommend this keyboard especially as I don't think there is any other illuminated Bluetooth enabled keyboard available at this time.Read full review

I got the K830 wireless keyboard to access functions and apps on a QNAP server that are tedious to access with a simple remote control. A wired keyboard would have also done the job but things like the built in trackpad and battery power made the K830 my preferred choice. The QNAP is connected to our Internet Router and our TV in our living room; the QNAP NAS is mainly used as a file storage server for a couple of home laptops that have small onboard hard drives. Many files are also stored on cloud drives. Without doubt the K830 has been useful and practical to access simple apps on the server, like a web browser and file manager, while using the TV as a monitor. Now we can access online radio and TV easily with apps on the NAS. It also means that if I want, I can also run and store video from a home security system on the QNAP NAS. I realise the NAS should not be relied on to back up files; I use a couple of cheap USB drives for backup. Home technology has changed a lot in the 32+ years I've been using it. The K830 is fine for the role I needed it for - simplifying access to NAS apps while using the TV as a monitor - but I wouldn't expect to use the K830 for tasks such as gaming. The keyboard is well set out. I think a few changes could help. A non slip backing for one and to have a slightly longer illumination time would be a great advantage. This is a great product it would be awesome if it had the changes i have noted. Great keyboadr Logitech

This is a good keyboard and touch pad, it works well from all around the living room. The keys feel alright and the construction is resonable, there is a small amount of flex in device perhaps because it's quite slim.
