As a dictionary, it passes the test. But in terms of usefulness, I can find one as good as the Oxford WordPower English - English - Arabic. Here's why... First the pros: 1. Reasonable price 2. Compact size but still readable font size 3. It's got two sections. From the left, it is English - Arabic. From the right it is Arabic - English. Here's why I will not recommend it. (This has nothing to do with the seller. Rather the product). 1. It is not suitable for an absolute beginner since they won't know how to 'use' the words in context. Yes, it is true that for the Arabic-English section, it has a few usage examples or phrases but this is not really helpful. 2. They have tried to use a phonetic system that I've never seen. It's not the standard phonetic examples. So it is not of any use to me as I cannot get the exact pronunciation. This should have been simpler. 3. The pages are not the best. They look like off-white old paper. I get very tired reading it. Perhaps it's me and my colour-blindness. But I've love the pages that are brilliant white. Overall, it's a fairly good product but I can't recommend it to a serious learner. Perhaps this is only my view. Read full review
