I bought this because I needed a new keyboard that was compatible with my old windows 7 operating system, there are newer model ergonomic keyboards available from Microsoft that run on more recent OS's. The keyboard is nicely designed for your hands to rest comfortably and is easy to type on. The large space bar is a good shape and in easy reach but it does make a clunky clicking sound when pressed. The silver short cut buttons on the top are handy and I especially like the two silver page back/forward buttons under the space bar, I don't have to use the mouse as much with all these buttons. The only issue I have is that apart from a simple diagram showing you how to plug the keyboard in it comes with no instructions whatsoever and if like me this keyboard is new to you or you have limited experience with technology then not knowing how to program some of the buttons or knowing what they do is a problem. Microsoft are no help, they do not have a manual available through tech support or by any other means (and believe me I spent a week trying to wrangle one from them) and there is to date nothing available on the world wide web to download either. So, I recommend this for it's design and comfortable ease of use and if you are familiar with this type of keyboard then great, but if not your only user manual is to start experimenting by pressing buttons or see if you can find some sort of tutorial on youtube. Good point : Well packaged. Bad points : Advertised as new. It wasn't. Contents of box not packed. Freely moving, c.d. disk, booklet and comfort bar. Plastic bag located under keyboard, should have been used to pack and seal the keyboard. Noticeable coating of grey/black powder or dust covered contents of box. Upon connection to my laptop I discovered the wired keyboard displayed no less than Five keys inoperable.

I have used these keyboards exclusively since they first came out, taught me to touch type, its a bit bigger than others but that for me is an advantage. The original ones came out in light grey with black lettering and the lettering stayed on right to the end of its life, which was many years. My last one died when sticky drink was split on it and caused shorting in the board. Also the thin and pale grey like lettering/numbering wear off over time and use, would like to see stronger white numbering etc. on it and go back to grey boards New one is tops but like the dead one is black with thin key pad lettering/numbering, so I anticipate over time the lettering etc. will wear off. Two small gripes but would not use any other keyboard unless in emergency.

I first bought an Ergo Keyboard when I started to develop pain across my shoulder due to too much typing on traditional straight and flat keyboards. Three visits to a physio helped but did not solve the problem. Using the Ergo Keyboard has solved the problem. It takes a little while to get used to the shape of the keyboard but after a week or so you find going back to a straight and flat keyboard is strange and uncomfortable. Comfort is the main reason for buying the keyboard. As a bonus it has some useful extra keys that include pre-programmed keys to access your preferred web and email browser and explorer and 5 programmable keys to access programs of choice as well as volume and start/stop controls for music or videos. The keyboard is well laid out and has a good feel to it. By choice I would not get any other style of keyboard.Read full review

Great to type on. Other keyboards seem much the lesser for not having the ergo layout. Could do with command buttons but that is being picky. This is my second MNE keyboard - the previous lasted only 2 years.
