While teaching at a middle school, Marcia Friedman developed a workshop called Parenting for School Success. Over the years, she presented the program in several school districts. Later in her career, she became Director of Professional Development for a state association. In that position, she planned programs for the membership. Soon she was asked to present her program on Parenting for School Success. As years went by, she saw the need for her program increase. So she decided that she could help more parents by writing a book with her workshop ideas. Graciously, she shares her experience as a teacher and principal of grades K-8, and as an adjunct college instructor, and most importantly she shares as a parent. She hopes she builds confidence in those who read her book to parent for school success. Marcia Friedman holds a BS in Education and MA in Education with a major in Human Development.
