A new pony comes to Twin Pines Stables. All the other horses make fun of her small size and spots. When the children come to see the new pony they give her a new name. Things start to look up for Puddin' Tain when she meets Libby, a little girl in Ms. Patti's riding school. The haughty Arabian Mare, Mira, takes charge of Puddin when they become paddock mates. Some even say she is mothering the ugly spotted pony. Then, one day Libby brings exciting news that she and Puddin are going to enter a horse show. Because of all the teasing about Puddin's spots, the pony doesn't believe she stands a chance of winning.
