Saga of Russian history, told by remarkable - and quietly heroic - Russian family of soldiers and peasants and Bolsheviks, doctors and priests and wise women, artists and dancers and musicians.
Kirsten E.A. Borg has been fascinated by the Russians since she was 12 years old. She has taught their history, learned their language, performed their music, visited their country - and loved their culture for a long time. She has a Ph.D. in History, and lives in Kansas City. Like many of the characters in her book, she has a daughter and is a teacher. Cover Art: Charles H. Mertes, Stalingrad War Memorial.
