I accidently bumped into Red Cell by Richard Marcinko, in a secund-hand store, in at box of old semi-trach military magasines. Having read this, I went looking for more by "Mr. Demo-Dick", and was lucky to find a big batch, with most of hes books, including Rogue Warrior here in EBAY. Rogue Warrior is NOT for the fainthearted and NOT for you if you don't like swerring, and picturet speaking about killing, human pfysics (here especialy in the area between the belly-button and the knees) and other "blood and Guts"-stuff! This IS the first book in a series, and at some places you can feel how "Mr. Rich" trys to finde just the right word to define his moods/feelings/thourght in a way that both describes what he wants to say and keeps the reader interested, however it makes a lot of younger writers, writing about warfair seem tame, as if they just don't havne the spark any more, and just want to make money from the lucrative "warstory-interess, that live so well, in this post-9/11-era. BEWARE: This book and its family are time-robbers, as they are VERY hard to lay down! To summen up: Buy & enjoy! Claus Moeller DenmarkRead full review
I had been wanting to read this book for quite awhile. The book is great from the start. The author gets right into the action immediately. I intend to buy all of Richard Marcinko's books.
