Though sold as an underlay grip ...for hardwood floors, I in fact purchased it to use under Persian rugs on slate floors. Without this underlay the rugs always slid on the slate surface. With this anti slip underlay grip the rugs maintain their position and I no longer need to keep re-positioning the rugs. I should have purchased this product earlier. I purchased a number of the largest size which catered for my larger rugs and were able to be easily cut to cater for smaller rugs. Highly recommended.
