It was shipped from Western Australia to East Coast without a problem and no damage. Commendable packaging. Product was as described and is of a decent size so it can take decent size wood and materials. It is raw iron so you need to oil it down and keep it out of the rain after use or cover it. If you don't like the 'rust' look, don't buy, but the paint will come off the more fancy ones quickly anyway. The 3mm thickness makes it more robust and will last longer. A lot of the better looking smaller ones out there are flimsy and weak and too small in diameter to be any good. They would probably only last a season because thickness is 2mm in many cases. Beware of the thickness if you want it to last.

I am a handyman, can weld etc. thought I would make my own. The trouble is, can't make the curved fire pit without special equipment. Welding on the base is not great, but does the job, & only a fussy welder would notice. Great value, looks great, could not make one for this price, & delivery was fast & could not believe how I got it so quickly for so little money! Very happy!

Does the job well. Nice and big. I will be attaching legs off the cylinder base to let hot air escape from underneath. Burnt the lawn. And even when I elevated with some timber sleepers to let the air out it burnt through that, and got so hot it cracked the floor leveller where I’m going to put tiles. Replaced that section with 12 inches of concrete. . I still love it though. Excellent price compared to Bunnings. Update. Ended up using a hole saw to cut holes in the cylinder base to allow heat to escape. Also built a small hearth out of fibro cement sheet to place under cylinder. Have had many fires in it and the tiles beneath are protected. Note also the price has increased, inline with other fire pits. It was a bargain at sub $200.
