After years of being a victim of domestic abuse, Annette Styles is issued a restraining order and forced to leave her own home when her son's father refuses to move out. She moves in with her childhood best friend, Monica Moses, with the clothes on her back, a part-time, minimum wage job and a pile of credit card debt. Jennifer Lightburn was born in California and raised in Virginia. She's a graduate of the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. She is a freelance writer, corporate recruiter and now a novelist. She resides in Northern Virginia with her son and German Sheppard.
