Recently I've been having very annoying problems with my NBN connection. Intermittently some websites would refuse to load and they'd time out, while others were OK. Eventually I ordered one of these TP-Link modems to try and prove whether or not my existing top-end dual wifi band modem/router was the cause. The fault disappeared between me ordering the modem and it arriving, but I've installed it anyway to see if the fault returns. It's much smaller than the original one, but it works really well. It was quite easy to set up and people have commented on how clear the VoIP connection through it is. It's only got 2.4GHz wifi but that's all I need and it's got good range. The ethernet ports are 10/100Mbps not 1000Mbps like my original modem but I can live with that. I'll probably use it as my main modem and keep the up-market one as a spare. Recommended. :)Read full review

I currently have the NBN Network connected with TPG using FTTN. This modem connects to the Internet easily as the onboard setup menu already includes VDSL settings for TPG. Unfortunately it is impossible to check whether the VoIP phone ports are working as the modem requires parameters which are a closely guarded secret within TPG. Excellent choice for a low cost modem if you don't require landline availability, or as a standby in case the provider-supplied Huawei HG659 modem fails.
