During the 1950's and early 1960's, nuns predominated the teaching landscape in Catholic schools. Thank You, Sister! is a loving tribute to those women who gave their lives in service to the faith formation of their students. At the same time, these selfless women promoted excellence in academics and nurtured the seeds of conduct, courtesy, and cooperation, which parents had already fostered in the minds of their children. The book is full of memories and cultural references, which would appeal to all who grew up during a simpler time.
