This book introduces children to meditation through the interaction of three delightful characters - Body, Mind and Spirit. We discover that Mind is a bit of a rascal, who is constantly busy and full of activity. We learn that Body is exhausted from trying to keep up with Mind's antics. We are introduced to Spirit, a happy fellow full of love and joy, who guides Mind to experience the wonderful state of stillness and peace, which brings all three characters into harmony.
Elisabeth wrote this book as a way to introduce children to meditation and the workings of the mind. She hopes that children will enjoy the endearing character 'Mind' and all his antics, while they learn from 'Spirit' how patience and kindness can calm even the most stubborn of rascals! Elisabeth has studied healing modalities in the Far Eastern, Native American and Andean traditions over the past twenty years. Elisabeth founded and administers a Healing Arts Center at a non-profit organization in New York City focused on assisting homeless youth. In addition, she teaches classes in personal development, stress management, mindfulness and the healing arts.
