Bought it for a friend
I never grew up around babies, because no one in my family has had children for the past six years. So when both of my sisters, and my best friend had their children I was clueless. I new how to hold an infant, change a diaper, and somewhat care for them but that was about it. My mom bought The Baby Owner's Manual for me more as a joke that actual reading material, but it explains everything, even the most seemingly simple task, in a easy to follow instructions complete with diagrams. The book covers pretty much everything you need to know about caring for an infant in an easy to read manual. In all honestly, it greatly helped me in the beginning and now I am more confident when keeping my niece, nephew, and godson. One of my really good friends is pregnant and like me didn't have a really solid foundation on infant care. I bought this for her and giving it to her in her baby shower present.Read full review

Great for first time parents
I have found this book to be very helpful. I am a single first time mother who is working and going to college full time. Instead of reading a chapter about burping or hiccups this book tells you directly and to the point in as few words as possible. I have found it very useful and when she goes to the sitter I just drop the book in the bag. It is good reference for new parents or second time parents. I would assume fathers would really like it. It has a little humor in it as well. Not boring.

coolest unique baby book!!! I'm not a big reader, but after having my baby, i realized some easy practical baby advise would be good! searched for a book that would catch my attention came up with this book hands down!!! great baby shower gift! get for your husband, he may appreciate this baby book!! Absolutely a good buy!

The Baby Owner's Manual is great!
I love this book. Someone purchased a copy for me as a baby gift several years ago and I have in turn purchased a copy for someone else. It makes a great gift. It is a fun read but so much more. The tips in the book are very smart and so simple. Consider giving this book to any first time parent.
