It's Mummy's birthday and Jenny and Grandad are making a surprise - a delicious carrot cake. But when Grandad adds soap instead of butter, salt instead of sugar, and the carrots go into the mixture whole, it starts to look like a catastrophe. Surely one will want to eat it... or will they?
Elizabeth Dale has several picture books to her name. The Carrot Cake Catastrophe is her first title for Gullane Children's Books. She lives in West Sussex and has recently become a grandparent herself! Gemma Raynor graduated from North Wales School of Art and Design in 2006, winning the 'Young Designers' illustration award in her final year. She is the illustrator of Tom's Tree and Mimi Make-Believe. She lives in Essex.
