This book has seriously changed my life. Ever since purchasing it my house has smelt wonderful from all the spices and my coworkers jealous when I bring in the left overs. The instructions are really easy to understand and it conveniently has three different forms of measurement. Everything you need to start cooking Indian is in this book. EXCEPT.... the spices. Luckily for me there is an Indian grocery next to my house in Baltimore so I was able to buy almost all the spices. The Mexican market had the rest. For those away from the city you may have to order online.. so I suggest ordering your spices as soon as you order this book. Basic spices are Tumeric, Corriander, Garam Masala, Curry powder, Crushed red chillies, cardammon pods, cloves, peppercorns and paprika. There are more though, I suggest looking up some Indian sites to see the other common spices. This book is wonderful. I suggest all to buy this item.
