The Future And Beyond is a new one-volume edition comprising two of Saltmarsh's best-kwn works: Forekwledge and Evidence of Personal Survival from Cross Correspondences. In Part 1, Saltmarsh analyses startling and well-documented cases of the future affecting the past and discusses the implication of this precognition data for our ordinary understanding of free will, determinism and causality. Part 2 displays Saltmarsh's intellectual brilliance in unravelling the intricacies of F.W.H. Myers' famous post-mortem communications kwn as the cross-correspondence cases. These communications are cryptic messages apparently sent by the deceased Myers to several well-kwn spirit mediums on distant continents. The messages in themselves were only partially intelligible, but, when combined, they provide among the very best evidence we have for the survival of bodily death.
H.F. Saltmarsh was born in England in 1881 and was a lifelong and revered member of the Society for Psychical Research.
