Lisa Martino was born in Staten Island, NY. She now lives in Central Florida with her husband and daughter. Lisa was a mid-life career changer. She went back to school in 2006 originally for IT, but transitioned into career and technical education (CTE) teaching. Now, she is a Ph.D. Candidate in Career and Workforce Education at the University of South Florida. Her focus is teacher education and distance learning. Her research interests include workforce trends, industry competencies, career development, CTE curriculum development, and professional development/teacher education.
