This is the story of a tree that lives alone on a hill and scares away all the other animals because it likes things that way. Then one day a monkey comes by and disturbs the trees world. It starts to trim its branches and more until the tree starts to bear fruit, which it had never done before. The tree gets angry and accuses the monkey of being selfish, which hurts the monkey feelings. When the monkey leaves and does t come back, the tree begins to realize the importance of what the monkey was doing for it and how life is better when someone else is in it. But how will this get resolved?
Melissa Rath grew up on the East Coast in small town Stormville, NY. She learned the importance of working hard for what you love by spending her days mucking stalls to keep her horse. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a double major in Chemistry and Biology and then received her Masters Degree in Organic Chemistry from Iowa State University. After coming back to the East Coast and deciding that working in the laboratory was not for her, she went back to school and received her MBA from Western Connecticut University.
