The first, comprehensive history of Australia, The Oxford Companion to Australian History sold over 10,000 copies in its first edition. This thoroughly revised edition includes several new entries such as the 2000 Olympic Games and Reconciliation. Many of the entries on people, institutions and society have been revised to take in to account recent scholarship and developments. This edition also brings the bibliographical citations, which are a key feature of the book, completely up to date. Maintaining the easy to use A-Z format with full cross-referencing and subject index, this revised edition will take its place amongst the classic reference works of this country.
