The Ruin: Homecoming is the fall, winter, spring and homecoming portion of what was originally published in 2010 as The Ruin, which in Five Parts encompassed a year. This new edition is re-designed with larger type for easier reading and focuses on the critical area of the book Cliff Kelly? survival of the eight month long severe winter at the over 7,000 foot elevation location of the cliff dwelling. He is isolated in the cave with one for company but the skunk and magpie. During that time of creativity and contemplation he has time to think about the directions that will determine the course of the rest of his life. This section also contains the dramatic controntation with his tormentor Hector and reunion with his family.
