'The Traveller' is a personal reflection of the world where strange connections occur. Benge's photographs never offer answers, only questions to tempt the curious. His democratic view is an acerbic, wry response to the world in free-fall where thing is certain. Yet there is humour, affection, hope and unexpected beauty.
New Zealander, Harvey Benge works in Auckland and Paris. Well known for his many photobooks, The Traveller is his seventh book published by Dewi Lewis. He has twice been a finalist in theprestigious Prix du Livre at Arles Photography Festival, France.
