Why do people love to celebrate Christmas? Even those who don't believe in God? Isn't it because the mystery of God's son's human birth envelopes this special time of year so powerfully that we are unable to shake of its beauty and power? Especially in our time of incence, in childhood? Why are the memories of Christmases past living in us forever? Why have many of them become stepping stones on our spiritual pilgrimage? Because His coming was real. Because His coming was supernatural. So it will echo through the universe forever. About the Author: Astrid and her husband Ivo are retired and live on a quarter section of land, mostly bush, in Rio Grande, near Beaverlodge, Alberta. They have three children-Dr. Alexandra Noga, Dr. Tom Noga, PhD, and Anna Noga-and eight wonderful grandchildren. Their days at the farm are shared with their old dog, Blackberry, cats Jakesh and Mikesh, and a dozen elderly hens. The Lord is good to them.
