Because of the beautiful cover and anticipation of great vegan family loved recipes, this book is filled with obscure ingredients and the pictures of the food look unappetizing, disgusting textures and bland appearance. If you want to make your own sriram, jalapeño powder, spice blends, kamut, uttapam, moong dal, use soy curls, etc., this book is for you. I guess there are a few bean dishes and soups that look tolerable but overall, I would not buy this book if I knew the contents. I think the description was misleading as I do not see this as a collection of delicious meals.

I can't give a full review yet because I've only made my first dish, mushroom stroganoff. But my husband said it was a keeper, and that's how I decide what I keep and what I toss. Loved that I didn't have to use nuts like many recipes I've seen, and that she had some layered recipes in there. That's my only criticism of pressure cookers is that so many things come out looking the same. I'll keep trying and hopefully will find them all just as good. Seems like she uses a lot of normal vegan products that I have on hand.
