Amelia M. Brown was born on the last day of summer in 1984. Discovering her love for the arts at a young age, Amelia finds enjoyment in expressing herself through creative projects and writing. She has recently graduated with a Master's in Literature from the California State University of Sacramento. Her writing took off one summer, between her junior and senior years in High School, when her grandfather returned to the hospital to have his second open-heart surgery in as many years. Stuck at home, and needing to take her mind off her worries, Amelia began writing a story about a dream she had had a few nights before. It was the beginning of a project which eventually turned into Ties of Fate: The Lost Continent. Over that summer and the years that followed, despite setbacks like losing several drafts to computer viruses, and life in general, Amelia has continued to write. In November of 2013, she took part in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and surpassed the 50,000 word mark for the win. She finished the novel in record time. Planning to turn her most recent work into a series, she is now brainstorming for The Chronicles of Odde, a young- adult fantasy series. She currently lives in California and is a part-time worker and a full-time dreamer.
