Major changes have occurred in the tourism industries in Central Europe which have implications t just for the countries involved but for all of the tourism industries in Europe. Tourism in Transition provides a detailed analysis of the role of tourism in the ecomic transition which has swept central and eastern Europe since 1989. The work on privatization in particular is highly invative and will be of interest to a wider community of social scientists beyond tourism specialists.
