While in prison, Ron Trentweiler, a petty thief, is befriended by an itinerant preacher and gets religion. Joe Perrone Jr. was a sportswriter with the Passaic-Clifton, NJ Herald-News, and a freelance advertising copywriter. He was also a professional fly-fishing guide on the Beaverkill River in the Catskill Mountains of New York. As The Twig Is Bent, the first in the Matt Davis Mystery Series, was recently translated into Portuguese. Opening Day (the second in the series) and Twice Bitten are slated for translation in the near future.
