A condensed edition of the greatest novel of the 20th century.
This is of course a very abridged version of the novel. The full Naxos edition is close to $100 and thus out of my range. Nevertheless they do an admirable job of keeping most of the salient moments of the book. True whole chapters are missing and chunks of text are excised from the sections they do present. But on the whole these shortened audio books usually keep the essence of the work. The biggest admission for me is Stephen Dedalus's interior monologue on Sandymount strand that makes up the whole of chapter three as this contains for me the richest poetic moments of the book but otherwise this is a worthwhile purchase.
