I use Mac so had to reformat the drive. It was easy and completed very quickly. All instrucrions were clear and easy to follow - though some didn't match my screen. - I believe that is a result of Apple introducing new systems before third parties have a chance to adapt, as I'm on the latest version Mojave. [Im one of the idiots who buys things before they've been well assessed. I've used many WD drives, some good and some better. This one seems well constructed, very solid, a neat and tidy size and works well with my Mac. Price was great, compared to many other similar status 3gb drives. I will take the brave step of recommending it and opening myself to criticism.

I severely doubt these are genuine WD drives. Performance is well below specifications, and read speed no better than basic USB2 on my PC and laptop USB3 ports. However, the 2.7TB drive should last more than 5 minutes (sarc)
