The disc tray of my original Sony DVP-NS425P suddenly refused to budge. I found this (used) replacement without its remote control (which I didn't need) for a very good price. The unit arrived within a few days. It worked as expected. The case was dirty and scarred so I exchanged a few parts with ones from the broken unit and cleaned up the rest. Looks good. Works fine.
Great quality and I've owned Sony ES and Rotel dvd players and this rocks!
Awesome!!! Hooked it up and started testing it right away, everything works PERFECT! Every button on the remote controls cool commands! Awesome picture, even hooked it up to my Proxima Ultralight projector and got perfect picture and amazing dvd sound! Unbelievable quality and for this price?!? Get ya one!!!
Sony DVD Player is good quality for a bargain price!
I decided to buy this Sony DVD player to replace another unit that had gone out. I knew and trusted the Sony name but didn't want to spend a lot as this player is for my 12 year old daughter's room. We have been extremely pleased with this player. It is a slim & sleek design and very easy to connect & operate. It included a simple to follow manual and trouble shooting section just in case you encounter difficulties, which we have yet to experience! :) The picture quality is superb and the slim design remote makes it quite comfortable to operate from anywhere in the room. My daughter is a frequent movie watcher yet this player has never experienced interruption in play or distortion in picture or sound. We are extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing a good quality & dependable player, simple enough for a child to operate, without breaking the bank!!Read full review

i bought it for the sound it can play 24bitt audio & regular cd to the very best sound
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Big Trick: SACD in stereo only - not surround.
Bought this to play surround SACD's because it says in the playable formats that it plays SACD's. One BIG problem: It only plays stereo SACD's. C'mon Sony, are you trying to trick people?
