The 4622 Difference:Clever Cookware would like to introduce our latest technology range in Stainless Steel Cookware developed by Outokumpu Pty Ltd in Europe. This development occurred in 2013 and by 2015 prototypes were underway.
Our Clever Cookware are all made from the new grade of Stainless Steel 4622 which has been developed specifically with cookware in mind, as it does not require Copper or Aluminum molded to the bottom for heat dispersion. 4622 disperses heat evenly with no hotspots and more importantly no Nickel content with a highly polished nonstick cooking surface.
Previously manufactured 18/8 or 18/10 Stainless Steel grade, which is 18% Chromium & 8-10% Nickel meant the T304 Stainless Steel would not work unless a Copper or Aluminum base was bonded to the bottom of the Stainless Steel to disperse heat evenly, but this would not disperse the heat up the sides of the cookware. You will notice under the normal “Caution” note, the thing you don’t do with this type of cookware.
