A must have item for cable TV
This is a great product to have. I was using a cable box on every TV costing $7 per box per month. I replaced the boxes with the Fire Stick 4K. You will still need the cable service, just not the extra boxes. I get all the features I had with the boxes but now I'm saving money. The picture quality is great as well. One comment is the Fire Stick will use your internet to stream channels. Make sure your internet service has enough bandwidth to cover every TV. Plug and Play, it ain't.....
You want to Cut The Cord, so you try this "Jailbroken" Firestick. You get about 11 "apps" that you can supposedly load to make this work. What do these apps do? Who knows, there's no documentation. I played with this thing at least 4 hours today, and it started to work some later in the day. If you are a beginner like myself, plan to spend several days on figuring it out. A convenient high quality stream device.
This is a high quality convenient stream device. It can totally replace the streaming function of my OPPO 105. I don’t see very noticible difference on picture quality between this one and the OPPO. I am using this one on my OPPO 105 and I am happy with both of the picture and sound quality, even though the OPPO may have and edge on the sound quality. I usually don't leave lenghty reviews, but this purchased warranted one!!!! Let me first start off by saying this firestick is amazing. I literally received it one day after I purchased it. When I opened the box, there's instructions in it to tell you what's apps are good for viewing movies, TV shows and live games. I wanted to give an honest review... So from the day I received it, I've watched older movies (2017/2018 Sicario, Godzilla), new movies that just came out like Downtown Abby, the Kitchen and Ready or Not and Anna. I didn't have any issues with formatting however brand new movies that just came out last month don't have 1080 (well Anna did) just yet- but who cares... The movies were still easily watchable and it didn't bother me. I even streamed soccer today without any issues. This newest Firestick syncs to your tv as well as sound bar in order to turn everything on and to control the volume. I prefer using a single remote as opposed to 2 or 3. It solved my problem of utilizing Prime videos on my TV! The instructions left a few things unclear, but they were resolved with the help of the internet. It delivers on its promise of quality streaming with high resolution images. I had to use the extender dongle and it was extremely stiff making the bend difficult. Like the "Alexa" feature. And unit is easy to use. Just wish it had a "VPN" built in. Have constant problems with someone manipulating the programs; i.e. programs stopping and starting. However I know that it is not "Fire Stick".

I got fire stick delivered, hooked up to my bedroom tv, tried downloading Xfinity Stream app, NO STREAM APP! I CALLED XFINITY FOR HELP, THAT WAS A JOKE THEY DIDN'T DO A THING FOR ME BUT TO TELL ME TO CALL AMAZON. I CALLED AMAZON, AND AFTER AN HOUR OF BEING ON THE PHONE WITH AMAZON, THEY SAID FIRE STICK DOES NOT HAVE THE APP. NOW I AM PRETTY TICKED OFF, BECAUSE COMCAST TOLD ME THE STREAM APP WAS AVAILABLE.
