Size doesn't matter

Larger than other brands in the Market, gives a good punch and good build quality. I m using it as my second subwoofer, with My Onkyo 7.2 receiver. So far I m happy with my purchase, very well priced as well.Read full review...

Pioneer 200 w sub

Good sound for the money Oversized compared to other subs I have owned not easy to conceal Not very punchy bass more of a rumble probably due to the cone materials. Will suit non audiophile types Easy to set up with all cables providedRead full review...

Punchy bass

Good speaker for the price. No built in stand by but was solved with a power filter that switches power off to the sub when after 3 hours of no use of the receiver. Punchy bass compared to my other Dream sub which gives lower bass. Both together rattles my house. Sorry neighbors.Read full review...

Excellent value sub

I was initially looking at one of Pioneer's cheaper subs which had a 10 inch driver - I am glad I spent the extra $40 for this one.

I will say one thing, this sub is much larger than I expected, however I think the larger cabinet means it has more space to reach the lower frequencies.

I was listening to the bass on my tower speakers initially and this made such an improvement. It can be cranked loud enough for earth shaking bass, which is excellent.

Some people have had this model and said a fan turns on when the bass thumps, but I have not heard this. They are either playing too loud or something is wrong? AFAIK there is a ventilator on the back but I have not heard a fan turn on.

Some other things I like about this sub is that it's got a bypass switch enabling you to control bass management in the AVR. This is personal preference, but I like how the unit has a simple on/off switch - the other Pioneer model I was initially considering has a standby/auto-on switch, but I read some people had issues with it.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase. The sub is solid, can produce quaking bass if desired yet is also very musical. I think being able to see the driver on the front adds to the experience as well.

I recommend this product.

A Good Value Product

Integrated well with the other speakers of my system. Setup, equalization and calibration by the AV receiver worked well. The fan on the subwoofer came on during the calibration but was not noticed during music or video's.Read full review...
