mmmmmmmmmmm. "This IS a tasty burger!"

By far his finest hour, film geek Tarantino's follow-up to his cult hit 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Pulp Fiction' is a hard hitting, brutally aggressive movie with an occasional comical flare, that looks at a day in the life of several characters that intertwine with each other to create a profane fiasco. With a snazzy script that stands high above other blockbuster premises, the cast is headed off by Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta and Bruce Willis, playing the parts of two hit men and a boxer respectively. Set into three segments, the three stories all involve each other, whether only as a passerby or in a main role, the star-studded cast, including the likes of Harvey Keitel, Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz and British actor Tim Roth, who all agreed to work for a smaller pay-packet while acting in this film, excel in their own unique way to make this a very enjoyable viewing that you wouldn't mind seeing again once you've finished. Jackson and Travolta play the two hit men Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega, sent by their boss Marsellus Wallace to reclaim a package from some underage associates. As you can guess this ends up in a blood bath, but the closing sequence of the scene is postponed to one of the closing scenes, where another incident is carried along, this time with the inclusion of how to mop-up brain once it's spilt across your back-seat. With a story that sways from Divine intervention to male rape, you will never know what the next minute holds in store. Tarantino's marvelous soundtrack is again a collection of classic sixties and seventies hits, some known, some not. Missed out in the 1994 Oscars, when Best Picture was awarded to Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks, this still remains a modern classic that holds all the hallmarks of becoming a legend. Followed in 1997 with Jackie Brown, starring Blaxploitation honey, Pam Grier. Finally on a 2-DVD collector's package, this is an absolute must! The Tarantino Fiction documentary is very intriguing while the Charlie Rose Show footage is great for any film buff or lover of the Director. The deleted scenes are cool, but two were already available on the Collectors edition video release. A worthy edition to anyone's library.Read full review...

Pulp Fiction - Tarantino + Trevolta + Thurman = Awesome

Pulp Fiction, originally released on October 14 1994, is one of Quentin Tarantino's masterworks. Pulp Fiction in addition to the great story and writing done by Tarantino and Roger Avary is full of wonderfully famous actors. The movie includes such screen greats as Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Rosanna Arquette, Ving Rhames, and Eric Stoltz.

John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson excel in this film as a pair of quirky anachronistic hitmen in the employee of Marsellus Wallace played by Ving Rhames. As we follow the pair through a short time in their bizarre world of death, drugs, dancing, and glowing briefcases we get to know them and are let in somewhat on their hopes and dreams which are refreshingly mundane compared to the strangeness of their "normal" lives.

Although Pulp Fiction is a great movie it is loaded with mature themes so parents beware if you have small children. Sex, drugs, death, some more drugs, more death...I think you get the picture.

Pulp Fiction - great movie

This movie is definately one of my favorites of all time. I'd say this is surely Terentino's best movie ever, just behind Resevoir Dogs. The plot lines are gripping, exciting, original and linked in a one-of-a-kind time sequence. The movie centers on two main characters, Jules and Vincent, and their adventures working for a crime boss. I won't do any of the plots justice by trying to explain them here, but they will keep your attention for the entire movie. One thing to note - the movie contains a ton of profanity and sexual content and drug use, so its not appropriate for kids or anyone who offends easily.

Travolta and Jackson are great together, and smaller parts by Bruce Willis, Uma Therman and Ving Raines are fantastic. This marks the first movie that Travolta used to regain his reputation in hollywood after the tragedies of those Look Whose Talking movies.

In summary - great movie. Check it out.

One of a kind

This movie is fantastic. It is definitely in my top 5, if not my number one. I don't usually like action films and I would call this something of an action film. But it makes you think, too. I love the Tarantino style of going in an order that isn't necessarily chronological but still sensible. This movie has so many one-liners, as well as moments that make you want to start clapping for your favorite character. I would suggest this movie to anyone, from a Sunday school teacher to a college student to a grandmother. Honestly. It has something in it that everyone can take from it and either relate to or hate with a passion but it WILL get a reaction. Watch this movie.Read full review...

This was definitely worth every penny

I have a house of all boys. They love Tarantino's works. We are collecting them all. I was glad for the opportunity to bring this one home to the boys. Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman, Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta. I love that Tarantino uses the same actors are used in all of his movies. He sees things like no other filmmakers. Finding an original story is so difficult these days!Read full review...
