I like the single cable used with the Seagate drive. File transfers are easy however you can't sync public folders in vista. It is light and very portable. I would recommend this drive to everyone I know as a very good backup solution. I have a Western digital 160GB HD that is bulky and seems like it is always running and makes loud noises. In comparison the Seagate drive is very quiet even when transferring files. I still need to experiment with it more, however at the moment I am very satisfied with the performance.Read full review...

Great little drive.

So far so good, but I've only had it for two months. I just turned auto-backup off and use it as an external drive to transfer files back and forth and take to work with me sometimes. Good transfer speeds, instant recognition when you plug into a new machine, and no software installing necessary to get up and go. This thing is badass and looks much more attractive than other externals I've seen.

nice drive, these have come a long way from as large as a text book to this small handy device. eventually they will be even smaller with larger capacity so it will be obsolete in a couple years.

wonderful thing

This is the lightest, handsomest plug and play, read and write, nifty speedy spare drive you can find anywhere. It's hard to find for some reason, but it's terrific. It comes with built in software I cancel out of ~ I use my own backup method. But it lets you do whatever you need to do the way you want to do it.Read full review...

It's easy to use and also looks good. the only reason i did not give it an excellent is because the second time that i plugged it in, seagate manager did not recognize the device so i had to reinstall the seagate manager. other than that it works fine.Read full review...

One of the best external HD

I like the slim size, energy saving feature so I don't have to plug in addition power adapter when using at my laptop. My co-workers are all using this drive and there is no defect thus far.
