Toys will make you NEVER look at your children's toys the same way again!

I am writing a review on the new book Toys by Best Selling Author, James Patterson. I purchased this book since I love everything he writes, not even knowing what this book was about. I will say that this book is different from his normal storylines for adults, but I wasn't let down. It is a futuristic, science fiction thriller, and like no other book I've ever read. James Patterson has done it again! He's written a science fiction thriller that has you wondering if it could possibly ever come to pass. And if it does have the ability to come to pass, if the technology is ever to this hightened level, would we embrace it or run from it? Would we as self loving and never satisfied humans take on this type of technology without ever studying the moral ramifacations? Like so many choices our ancestors before us made,we have now been altered as humans forever. I gave this book 5 stars because once again, James Patterson delivered a story with a great story line, technology that I've never even dreamed of, let alone imagined, could ever begin to exhist outside of a Hollywood movie. It left me wondering, are we there yet or is this technology already being used somewhere? Living up to his expectations, he threw together a futuristic storyline that contains so much technology, it will have your head spinning and your heart racing from the murderous, stepford wife type plot, that involves a classic a love triangle and a HUGE moral dilema. So what may start off as slow and somewhat confusing storyline at first, will have you on the edge of your seat and unable to put the book down until you reach the end, like all of his others! After reading this wonderful thriller, you too will be left with these chilling questions. What would you decide for all of human mankind if this technology really exhisted? Or does it already exhist and being used amongst us without our knowledge? I think James Patterson also wants his readers to be aware, and to think about how our many enemies could just as easily attack us, unsupecting, right here at home! Not the usual Patterson...Read it!

After reading near all of Patterson's books, I was just about to stop reading them..They all reminded me of the prior books. So, when I read this one, it blew me away..Totally unlike anything he's written before. I don't know if its the help of co author Neil McMahon or what, but it was a page turner and hard to put down. I enjoy some science fiction, and this one hit the nail on the head..I think I am going to check out more books by McMahon...Read full review...

I enjoy reading James Patterson books. He writes in a style that I like & look forward to finding old or new books written by him.

I really did not know if I would like this book or not. I am not big into science fiction futuristic books. I love Patterson with his detectives, so I thought, well, give this book a chance. I am happy I did. It quickly grabbed my attention and I was reading it in record time. It has twists, turns, nooks, and crannies everywhere in the book. I give it a 5 star rating.Read full review...

For someone who reads alex cross and the murder club, this was definately different.

Well written story with interesting characters.

Very well written book, as are all James Patterson's writing, in my opinion. Look forward to another Hays Baker tale.
