CANON PRO 9500 GREAT PRINTER, GREAT RESULTS
THE SELLER REPORTED THAT THE PRINTER REQUIRED A NEW PRINTHEAD AND AFTER CONFIRMATION CHECKS ONE WAS BOUGHT AND REPLACED. THIS IS EASY COMPARED TO THE EPSON PRINTHEAD (THE R2880) WHICH IS NOT ONLY VERY EXPENSIVE BUT DIFFICULT TO REPLACE.A FAULTY PRINTHEAD ON AN EPSON IN REALITY MEANS A NEW PRINTER....THE CANON PRINTHEAD ON THE OTHER HAND IS MUCH EASIER TO REPLACE AND MUCH CHEAPER. (£109 ON EBAY) ....BOTH PRINTERS GIVE EXCELLENT RESULTS ,THE CANON BEING SLIGHTLY SLOWER WHEN PRINTING A3. THE CANON USES PIGMENT INK FOR LONGEVITY OF IMAGE THE EPSON WAS USING DYE INK BUT CAN USE PIGMENT INK. THERE ARE DIFFERENCES IN THE SPEC , FOR INSTANCE NO ROLL PAPER FEED ON THE CANON BUT FACILITY FOR POSTER PRODUCTION. THE CANON IS A GREAT PRINTER AND A JOY TO USE BUT THE INK CARTRIDGES ARE EXPENSIVE, HOWEVER THE CASH STRAPPED USER CAN USE ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF FILLING THE CARTRIDGES.
