the second one worked PERFECT -- Seems there may be an issue with certain years of monte carlo & impalas - mine is 2002 monte carlo - i believe i was sent wrong one initially & the second one came with a little variation on how to re learn security -- HOWEVER IT IS E-Z TO DO --- . JOYCE WAS VERY CAPABLE , She sent a replacement no hassle . MUCH BETTER THAN A STEALERSHIP OPTION --- The unit is located on far left under dash - disconnect the 3 electric plug ins and slide out - be sure to have a fully charge battery before starting replacement -- symptoms on mine were starting issues -- locking and unlocking doors & trunk on its own .
