He shipped my BMS back to me and I put the BMS and battery back into my 2014 Smart EV ED3 Electric drive, the car booted and charged. My Smart is now back on the road. flyingisbest is honest and willing to share good information on how to get you BMS error corrected or permanently deleted. Good for now
It's too early to tell, as these type products usually fail within a year or so. As received the product works perfectly fine. It produces a fair amount of light for a dusk to dawn led product, enough to aid seeing one's path adjacent. I don't expect it to last more than a year or so though given that it's a typical cheap Chinese product. Hopefully the AA NIMH battery is easily replaced.
