Guitar to MIDI converter it ain't

Apparently, this device is only part of a system. There is a foot pedal controller that is referenced in the "driver" and software CD that, of course, is not included. That notwithstanding, this device is not a MIDI interface for guitar. The referenced MIDI is employed to control various virtual effects in the accompanying software with the (not included) pedal or computer. The driver that is included on the CD is for the missing hardware, and not for the device that was purchased. I suppose the device might come in handy if I find myself needing to port my guitar into a laptop via the USB port, but other than that, I'm consoled by the fact that it wasn't that expensive of a lesson. It is a shame that it comes up when you search for "Guitar to MIDI converter" though - 'cause it ain't.

It's like having string insurance

It's comforting to have a number of full sets of strings handy when needed. Especially since strings follow Murphy's law and always break at the most inopportune moment.

Perfect update for an import telecaster copy

It was a perfect fit to update on older import telecaster copy from the '80s. Six solder connections and it was installed. Sounds great. Good tone range and extremely quiet switching.
